The Results of Novemeber 7 voting could take away your 2nd amendment rights
There are seats up for grabs in the House and Senate. The Democrats need to win 15 seats in the House to control the House. The Senate is projected to be a 50/50 tie, which if so, the Vice President will have to break the stalemate and the pendulum will swing to the right, as detailed here. But, who knows if the Senate will be 50/50. So, if the House is taken by Democrats, as well as the Senate, the Second amendment right to bear arms will be hugely impacted. Those in the Senate wish to take away all firearms from citizens like you and me. Their goal is to disable your ability to protect you and your family by not allowing firearms within your possession. Please, vote on November 7 to maintain both the House and Senate or at least, the Senate. You can read more about it here.

This appears to be highly volitile. Perhaps the movement for bearing arms needs to re-assess its tack. I’m not against fire-arms, but if an ideal’s existance depends on a dominating party… Something’s not right.

I agree that, ideally, gun ownership would be a non-partisan issue. That is not the case however, as our modern political landscape demands polar stances on issues. Therefore Republicans have become the champions of gun rights and Democrats the persecutors. Thoughts on how this might be changed?

I may not have a full plan drawn out for getting out of the fire-arms & Republican party. However I do believe the answers lie in education. Guns are a great unknown to most. Most interaction with firearms, as sad as it may be, is through media. Media as we all know NEVER distorts & NEVER romanticises. TV, Film & other dramitizations are a far cry from the real thing. By educating people about firearms, this includes it’s dangers as well as it’s positives, the movement should be on a more level playing field. On a small scale this could include involving friends, neighbors to share in the activity, discuss the pros & cons, give the practicalities (most no longer hunt for food) and help solve gun problems (those that should have them shouldn’t). On a larger scale perhaps a tour bus or some such.
Though not a thorough plan, it could be a start. My overall thinking is the more familiarity, interaction & understanding people have the better for them to determine what is good for an overall lifestyle.
