Mexican Reconquista

Mexican Reconquista is a term I’m using for this article, and likely in the future, to describe a perceived movement of Mexican & Mexican Americans to reconquest the American Southwest.

There seems to be a reluctance of Mexicans to adopt American culture. Many cultures have integrated into American culture, but Mexican culture has integrated very little; possibly due to it’s distance from America. This is easily seen in states such as California where it is common for documentation to be printed in Spanish just as often as it is printed in English, America’s common language. Or Mexican flags flown in the streets for events anywhere from sports events (fĂștbol), protesting for rights here in America, or simply “Mexican Pride” (displayed so emphatically it is perceived as “Mexican Superiority.” Even large communities of Mexico are appearing in California. Malls exclusively in Spanish.
How can Mexicans take over America? Easily and very much like the Middle East is invading Western culture to perform acts of terrorism. I’M NOT SAYING MEXICANS ARE ATTEMPTING TO PREPARE ACTS OF TERRORISM. But they do interact with the culture, take advantage of it, but do not become part of it.
